History of H. Moser & Cie.
The Story of H. Moser & Cie. began at the beginning of the 19th century. Heinrich Moser was born in Schaffhausen into a family with a long line of skillful watchmakers. Much like his predecessors, he became passionate about the watchmaking trade and eventually embarked on a journey to Saint Petersburg where he later established the H. Moser & Cie. brand in 1828. He built his factory in Switzerland and worked closely with hundreds of experienced artisans where approximately 500,000 watches were produced throughout his lifetime.
H. Moser & Cie. watches were comprised of a wide range of styles and movements from basic three-hand timepieces, to “grande complications.” However, the most noteworthy accomplishment Heirich Moser is known for is his involvement in designing the first Swiss dam, introducing hydromechanical turbines to produce energy.
Entrepreneurship has always been a driving force of the H. Moser watch brand, which can be seen in some of the greatest leaders in the company over the last two centuries. Straying away from the mainstream watch industry, the H. Moser brand strives to focus on creating their own future in attempts to uphold the legacy of their cherished founder.
