Apr 20, 2012

In honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this year, Forevermark has supported in the new display of the British Crown Jewels at the Tower of London. Forevermark’s Worldwide Marketing Director Dominic Brand and Diamond Trading Company’s (DTC) Chief Executive Officer Varda Shine were some of the guests invited to the official opening of the new exhibit in March.

The display and re-presentation of the Crown Jewels has been designed to emphasize the significance of the jewels for the British Monarchy. The new exhibition introduces Handel’s coronation anthems, graphics and restored film footage from the Queen’s coronation in 1953 which aims to create a sense of atmosphere while the enhanced lighting brings out the true beauty of the precious gems of the Crown Jewels. This new display allows visitors to be visually taken through the possession through history of the Coronation ceremony. The British Crown Jewels were first displayed in 1661 and has drawn millions of visitors to the Tower of London ever since. Forevermark has been an influential support in the new display of the collection that allows visitors to better understand the importance of these priceless treasures.
