Collector’s Corner: Cartier Unveils New Blue Edition of Popular Calibre de Cartier Diver

This is the first entry of our new blog series, Collector’s Corner, where we’ll highlight the latest and greatest of the luxury Swiss watch world every week. Today, we’re kicking things off with the new Blue edition of the Calibre de Cartier Diver, available now in our Nashville salon.

We’ve always been big fans of the Calibre de Cartier Diver. Whether you prefer the more classic look of the original editions, or the more striking new editions such as the ADLC coated steel and rose gold combination, it’s undeniable that the Calibre de Cartier is, to put it plainly, a beautiful watch. Cartier’s latest additions to the Calibre de Cartier Diver lineup deviate from the rest; while the dial and bezel of all prior Calibre de Cartier Diver models were black, the newest editions are blue. King Jewelers Nashville has two of these new blue editions in stock at the time of this posting: stainless steel and two-tone stainless steel and rose gold.

As with prior models, the blue versions of the Calibre de Cartier Diver have self-winding mechanical movements contained within a 42mm case with a unidirectional rotating bezel. Features include a date display window and a small seconds subdial. They are covered by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and feature a blue rubber strap. Perfect for all your summer water sports, this timepiece is water resistant to 300m!

We’re huge fans of rose gold, and the warm metal plays beautifully off of the cool blue accents, so we’re partial to the two-tone version. What do you think?
