Congratulations to Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman who got engaged over the winter holidays during a trip to Sun Valley, Idaho. After dating for nearly a year, Kopelman, an art consultant, presented Drew Barrymore with a simple but gorgeous four carat radiant diamond engagement ring. The ring, from Graff jewelers, also has additional smaller round-cut diamonds set on the band.
The radiant diamond, developed in 1977 by Henry Grossbard, is definitely a beautiful choice for an engagement ring. Radiant diamonds are the perfect blend of round-cut and an emerald-cut diamond. The most popular radiant diamond styles usually have 62 facets but the number can go as high as 70 or more. Even though a radiant diamond packs the same sparkling punch as its popular sibling the round-cut diamond, it’s not commonly carried by jewelers. Learn about other diamond cuts here.
This will be Drew Barrymore’s third marriage and she was previously married to Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and Tom Green in 2001.
Like the Look?Few have the budget for a four-karat knockout like Drew Barrymore’s ring, but you can achieve the same “wow” effect with radiant or asscher diamonds just over a carat in size. Here are two rings from the King Jewelers collection with a similar look.
