Forevermark Diamonds Celebrates Launch in South Africa

Since its inaugural launch in 2009, the exclusive Forevermark Diamond brand has taken off with a bang. Over the past four years Forevermark has launched in several different countries including Hong Kong, China, Japan, the United States, and rolled out to India. Towards the end of last year Forevermark had introduced its jewelry to Africa and now this year in Johannesburg, Forevermark announced its roll-out plans for South Africa.

Many of the Forevermark’s Diamond mines are sourced from South Africa and Canada. In fact the Jwaneng mine in Botswana belongs to Forevermark and is one of the richest diamond mines in the world. Since most all of Forevermark’s diamonds are sourced from these mines, it only makes sense to introduce and give back Forevermark diamonds to the heart of its sources. Forevermark diamonds are only mined in regions of the world where the revenues from the diamonds contribute to the development of the communities that there are sourced from. These positive contributions include bringing healthcare, education, infrastructure benefits, as well as respect to human rights and minimizing any impact on the environment.

In this celebration of the on-going expansion, Forevermark presented a 35 carat fancy yellow diamond. This beautiful fancy yellow diamond was worn by South African actress Keabetswe Motsilanyane during the exclusive event hosted by Forevermark CEO, Stephen Lussier. Other guests at the event included singer Alicia Keys, actress Joely Richardson and Uma Thurman which all were treated to spectacular jewelry creations by Forevermark.

Forevermark also looks for further expansion to Singapore and Malaysia later this year. This year also notes Forevermark’s collaborator, the De Beers group’s 120th year anniversary of diamond expertise. Together they continue the global expansion to maintain and demand the strict standard in responsibly sourced, rare and beautifully crafted diamonds that make a Forevermark diamond and follow the Forevermark promise.
