Gemstones Promote Health and Wellness

Feb 20, 2015

Throughout history, different gemstones have been used for a multitude of purposes. While we traditionally only think of them as aesthetic complements to our accessories, gemstones have also been rumored to possess healing properties, promoting good health and wellness. It may sound a bit crazy, but wouldn’t it be nice if your most beautiful pieces of jewelry could also improve your lifestyle?

We’ve gathered some of our most popular gemstones and their rumored healing abilities to let you decide for yourself- is it possible? Or is a gemstone, just a gemstone?

Emerald: This stone is said to focus your mind- it can help with memory loss and clear your mind so that you can stay focused on the task at hand.

Sapphire: This stone is said to purify your emotions- it can promote positive thinking, create inner peace, and erase negativity from your life.

Ruby: This stone is said to stabilize your emotions- it can amplify your energy. It is also used to treat health issues of the blood, like anemia and bad circulation.

Amethyst: This stone is said to promote positive change in your life- it can boost your spirituality, relieve depression, and make your dreams more realistic. Amethyst is sometimes also used to relieve stress and symptoms of addiction.

Diamond: This stone is said to amp up the properties of any gemstone near it. If you wear it next to an emerald, for example, it can hyper-focus your thought process.

Turquoise: This stone is said to be full of healing properties- it can bring you happiness, good luck, and possibly even new friendships.

We don’t necessarily put a lot of stock into this whole thing, but it’s an interesting concept nonetheless. What are your thoughts? Is your favorite necklace going to bring light and love into your life?? Or is a gemstone just a beautiful rock that brightens your day?
