King Jewelers will be one of the sponsors for the Denim & Diamonds hosted by Songs for Sound on Saturday, May 7th. Songs for Sound is a charity based in Nashville that works towards providing cochlear implants for deaf children. Founders Kevin & Jaime Vernon developed the organization after their daughter Lexi received a cochlear implant. Songs for Sound strives to educate the public how these implants can benefit children and also accommodates rehabilitation services for these children after receiving implants, including speech therapy.
The Denim & Diamonds event will take place at 3rd aVenue South and will include music, food, an auction, dancing, and promotional opportunities for businesses. Proceeds from this event will go to the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center for Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences, which is a cochlear implant program.
