About Mikimoto!

Kokichi Mikimoto was the first ever to successfully create cultured pearls, eventually creating the Mikimoto legacy. He continued to perfect his art and created other forms of cultured pearls such as white and black south sea pearls. He then sent his most skilled craftsmen to Europe to learn the art of crafting fine jewelry. Mikimoto had the dream to  “adorn the necks of all women around the world with pearls.” For over 100 years, this dream has lived on through the Mikimoto legacy.
