Montblanc Pay Tribute to Grace Kelly, an Eternal Icon of Style

She was known for classic style of attire and wore very little make-up, which helped to accentuate her natural beauty. She was part of several photo shoots and films, and it was on the of one of these photo shoots for the 1955 Cannes Film Festival that she met her future husband, Prince Rainier III of Monaco.

The Princess Grace de Monaco collection revolves around a distinct air of femininity using materials such as mother of pearl, diamond, and petal shaped diamonds and pink sapphires, a nod to Princess Grace’s favorite flower, the rose. On the watches in this collection the diamonds are arranged in a tapered pattern in the bezel and the dial, creating a soft cascade of diamonds and clean flowing lines.

The special edition writing instruments for this collection also feature embellishments of rubies inspired by the Principality of Monaco coat of arms and the cap top is engraved with the Princesse Grace de Monaco monogram.

Aside from the beautiful design of these pieces, Montblanc looked to reflect Princess Grace’s charitable heart as well. Montblanc is in a charity partnership with the Princess Grace Foundation – USA, which financially assists emerging talents in theater, dance, and film.
