SIHH Spotlight: Carter Tortue Multifuseaux Watch

Cartier presents another world time this year at the SIHH 2013. Like the multifuseaux (multi-time zone) released last year, Cartier presents the Cartier Tortue Multifuseaux. This world time model has a unique feature with the names of the cities and representing timezone shown on the left side of the case. Traditionally world time models will have a disc which covers the periphery of the dial with the names of the cities.

This interesting dial is dual-leveled with a lacquered representation of the world. Running from 6 to 6 and home time being on the lower half of the dial, the indicator hand displays either sun or moon to distinguish am and pm. The hands are Breguet style that mark the local time and second time zone which are set with the pusher at 2 o’clock. The hands also work in sync with the cities displayed on the side of the case.
