About Chopard Alpine Eagle Watches
History of Chopard Alpine Eagle
The Alpine Eagle traces its origins to the St Moritz, the very first watch created by Chopard in 1980 and personally designed by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, today co-president of the Maison. Driven by his passion for the Alps and the majestic eagles that reign over them, the design was revived and reimagined by the Scheufele family and reintroduced in 2019 as the Alpine Eagle.
Every Alpine Eagle is defined by its integrated bracelet, a round bezel secured by eight screws, and a sunburst dial whose texture recalls the iris of an eagle's eye. Many references are crafted from Lucent Steel, Chopard's exclusive, ultra-resistant alloy that is harder and more luminous than conventional stainless steel, produced with a high proportion of recycled steel in keeping with the Maison's commitment to sustainable luxury.
At the heart of the collection beat Chopard's in-house movements, many certified as chronometers by the COSC. Offered in 33mm, 36mm and 41mm cases as well as chronograph and complicated versions, and available in Lucent Steel, 18-carat ethical gold and gem-set editions, the Alpine Eagle has quickly become one of Chopard's most celebrated contemporary collections.
