Seiko was founded by Japanese watchmaker Kintaro Hattori in 1881 in Tokyo, originally under the name Seikosha (“House of Exquisite Workmanship”). In 1960 Seiko released its most signature timepiece, the Grand Seiko, symbolizing the peak of Seiko’s excellence in precise watchmaking. In 1969 Seiko introduced the world’s first quartz watch, a cosmic shift that upended the traditional watch industry. In 1999 the brand introduced the revolutionary Spring Drive movement, offering mechanical function with quartz accuracy and a smooth glide-motion seconds hand. Seiko continues to push the envelope of horological innovation today.

All Seiko watches purchased from an authorized Seiko retailer are backed by a 3-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, including issues with the movement, case, and metal band.

To qualify, the watch must be used according to the instructions in the manual and accompanied by a properly completed warranty card from an authorized dealer.
