CIGA Design Vector Information and FAQ

About the CIGA Design Vector

The Vector's case measures 44.5mm across and 12.7mm over the crystal, in 316L stainless steel or forged carbon fiber - the carbon version marbled differently on every piece by the forging process. The bezel is stationary, stepped in tiers with raised numerals, and the crystal is domed sapphire with an anti-reflective coating.

Inside, the self-developed CD-02X automatic is mounted so it appears to float within the case, running at 28,800 vph with 25 jewels and a 38-hour power reserve. It shows hours and minutes only - there is no seconds hand, a deliberate simplification that keeps the movement architecture uncluttered. The dial is micro-sandblasted and chamfered with applied indexes and Swiss Super-LumiNova, and the woven-pattern black fluororubber strap closes on a 316L steel hidden push-button clasp.

History of the CIGA Design Vector

The Vector is CIGA Design's first lap around a motorsport theme, and the brand committed to it structurally rather than cosmetically: the movement is suspended in the case the way an engine is mounted in a chassis, visible through both the skeletonized dial and the caseback, with the tiered bezel standing in for an instrument binnacle.

It is also the line where the brand experiments with case materials. Alongside the steel version, the Vector is offered in Grade 2 titanium and in forged carbon fiber - the latter the most expensive Vector and the only one whose case pattern is unique to each watch.

CIGA Design Manufacturer Warranty

Every CIGA Design Vector carries the brand's two-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering defects in materials and workmanship. Water damage is covered provided the screw-down crown was properly sealed. Normal wear and tear, impact damage, loss and theft are excluded, and the warranty is non-transferable. CIGA Design honors it only on watches bought from the brand or an authorized dealer, so purchasing from King Jewelers keeps that coverage intact.

FAQ About the CIGA Design Vector

Where can I buy the CIGA Design Vector in Nashville, TN?

King Jewelers carries the CIGA Design Vector at 4121 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville, TN 37215. Call (615) 724-5464 or shop the line at kingjewelers.com. The stainless steel version is $699 and the forged carbon fiber version $1,099.

What size is the CIGA Design Vector?

44.5mm across and 12.7mm thick over the domed crystal. It is the largest of the Z Series skeletons, though the lugless case and the rubber strap keep it manageable.

Does the CIGA Design Vector have a seconds hand?

No. The CD-02X shows hours and minutes only. It is a deliberate choice - dropping the seconds hand leaves the skeletonized movement less obstructed. The Hunter and Falcon both have a seconds hand if you want one.

What movement is in the CIGA Design Vector?

The self-developed CD-02X automatic: 28,800 vph, 25 jewels, 38-hour power reserve, hours and minutes. It is suspended within the case so it appears to float, and is visible from both the dial side and the caseback.

Is the CIGA Design Vector water resistant?

It is rated to 50 meters, which covers rain, splashes and handwashing but not swimming. The fluororubber strap handles moisture well.

What is the difference between the steel and carbon fiber Vector?

Case material, weight and price. Stainless steel is $699 with a silver skeleton dial. Forged carbon fiber is $1,099, considerably lighter, and marbled differently on every piece because of how forged carbon is made - no two cases look alike. The movement, crystal, bezel and strap are the same.

What makes the Vector racing-inspired?

The construction rather than a checkered-flag motif. The movement is suspended in the case the way an engine is mounted in a chassis, the stationary bezel is stepped in tiers with raised numerals like an instrument dial, and the fluororubber strap carries a woven texture.

Does King Jewelers sell authentic, warrantied CIGA Design Vector watches?

Yes. King Jewelers is an authorized CIGA Design retailer, so every Vector is new, comes with the brand's factory documentation, and is covered by CIGA Design's two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
