The Titanium Diver GMT is the Strat-o-timer built for wear rather than weight. The 40mm case and matching bracelet are Grade 2 titanium, which is roughly forty percent lighter than stainless steel and naturally corrosion resistant — a real difference over a long day, and more so in salt water.

Underneath it is the same Miyota 9075 true-GMT caliber found in the steel Strat-o-timer: an independently adjustable local hour hand, a 24-hour hand for home time, a date window, and a 42-hour power reserve. The case measures 40 x 47mm with a 7mm crown, carries a rotating bezel and sapphire crystal, and is water resistant to 200 meters. Assembly happens in the United States, and each movement is hand-regulated in Dallas before it ships.

The Strat-o-timer in titanium

The Titanium Diver GMT takes the Strat-o-timer platform — Jack Mason's travel watch, built on the Miyota 9075 true-GMT caliber — and rebuilds it in Grade 2 titanium, case and bracelet both. It is the lightest watch in the range and the one most suited to being worn continuously.

Why titanium

Grade 2 is commercially pure titanium, roughly forty percent lighter than stainless steel by volume, naturally corrosion resistant, and hypoallergenic — a genuine advantage for anyone sensitive to nickel in steel alloys, and for a watch that spends time in salt water. On a full metal bracelet the weight difference is immediately obvious on the wrist.

The GMT function

The Miyota 9075 is a true-GMT caliber: the local hour hand jumps independently in one-hour steps while the 24-hour hand holds home time, so adjusting for a new time zone never stops the watch. Paired with a rotating bezel, it will track a third zone as well.

Like the rest of the range, the Titanium Diver GMT is designed in Dallas and assembled in the United States by Jack Mason's own watchmakers, with each movement hand-regulated before shipping — part of the brand's stated ambition to help re-establish American watchmaking.
