Venezianico Information and FAQ

About Venezianico Watches

Venezianico makes mechanical watches that put Venice on the dial. The Nereide is named for one of the last submarines built by Venetian naval engineering, the Redentore for Andrea Palladio's Basilica del Redentore, and the Arsenale for the historic shipyard of the Serenissima. Dials draw on the city's crafts and trade, from Murano aventurine glass to turquoise, lapis lazuli, malachite and tiger's eye that once passed through Venetian ports.

Every Venezianico at King Jewelers is an automatic watch with a sapphire crystal. The Nereide divers use the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1 or Japanese Miyota and NH-series calibers, with BGW9 Super-LumiNova® and rotating 120-click bezels in tungsten, ceramic, steel, titanium or BK7 crystal. The Redentore pairs a Palladian case in 36mm or 40mm with Italian leather straps, and the Arsenale is under 10mm thick on its integrated Canova Concept™ bracelet.

The brand is based in San Donà di Piave, about 30 kilometers from Venice, where it restored the neoclassical Palazzo Baradel as its Atelier. King Jewelers stocks 31 Venezianico references at our Nashville showroom.

History of Venezianico

Two brothers from Venice. Venezianico began in late 2017, when brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli were studying at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. Their idea was to make watches that carried both their passion for watchmaking and the feel of their hometown. The logo came from a walk through St. Mark's Square, where they noticed the golden Renaissance cross atop the Clock Tower, a symbol of time passing in the city.

From Meccaniche Veneziane to Venezianico. The brand launched as Meccaniche Veneziane, raising more than $800,000 on Kickstarter, and adopted the name Venezianico in 2022. It now sells in more than 100 countries through its own site and authorized retailers.

An Atelier and an Italian caliber. In May 2024 Venezianico opened its Atelier inside Palazzo Baradel, an early 1900s building in the center of San Donà di Piave that the brand restored. In 2025 it introduced the V5000, its first proprietary mechanical movement, designed and manufactured in Italy.

Venezianico Manufacturer Warranty

Every Venezianico watch is covered by Venezianico's two-year warranty from the date of delivery, valid internationally when the watch is bought through the brand or an authorized retailer. It covers manufacturing defects that affect the watch's proper functioning under normal use; normal wear and tear and cosmetic damage such as scratches and dents are not covered. Coverage stays with the watch if it changes hands during the warranty period, provided proof of purchase can be verified, and it does not renew on transfer. King Jewelers is an authorized retailer of Venezianico, so your warranty is valid, and our Nashville team can help arrange service.

Is Venezianico a good watch brand?

Venezianico is a young Italian brand with a strong value proposition: sapphire crystals, Swiss-made Sellita or Japanese automatic movements and genuine stone, aventurine and meteorite dials, most under $1,500. Founded in 2017, it now sells in more than 100 countries and launched its own Italian-made V5000 caliber in 2025.

Where are Venezianico watches made?

Venezianico is based in San Donà di Piave, about 30 kilometers from Venice, Italy, where its Atelier occupies the restored Palazzo Baradel. The movements in the watches King Jewelers carries come from Sellita in Switzerland and from Japan, and many of the leather and rubber straps are made in Italy.

Who founded Venezianico?

Brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli founded Venezianico in late 2017 while studying at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. The brand launched as Meccaniche Veneziane and became Venezianico in 2022.

What movements do Venezianico watches use?

All Venezianico watches are mechanical. At King Jewelers the Nereide divers use the Swiss-made Sellita SW200-1, the Miyota 9039 or 9075 GMT, or the NH35A and NH70A; the Redentore uses the NH35A, NH39A regulator or NH05A; and the Arsenale uses the slim Miyota 9029 and 9039. Venezianico's owner's guide puts the automatic power reserve at about 40 to 42 hours.

Are Venezianico watches water resistant?

Yes. Most Nereide models are rated to 200 meters, the Nereide GMT to 100 meters and the Nereide Titanio to 300 meters. The Arsenale and the 40mm Redentore are rated to 50 meters and the 36mm Redentore to 30 meters, which suits everyday wear but not swimming.

What is the Venezianico Nereide?

The Nereide is Venezianico's dive watch, named for a submarine of Venetian naval engineering from 1919. It comes in 42mm and 39mm with a rotating bezel, sapphire crystal and BGW9 Super-LumiNova, and in dial materials from aventurine and Damascus steel to turquoise, lapis lazuli, malachite and tiger's eye.

What is aventurine glass on a Venezianico dial?

Aventurine, or avventurina, is a glass discovered in Venice in the 17th century by the artisans of Murano. Copper or metal fragments added during production give it a glittering, starry look. King Jewelers carries it in the Nereide Avventurina 42, the Redentore Avventurina 36 and the Arsenale Avventurina 40.

What is the thinnest Venezianico watch?

The Arsenale 40 and Arsenale Ultrablack are the slimmest at 8.95mm thick including the crystal, on the Miyota 9029 automatic. The Arsenale Moissanite 37 is 9mm and the Arsenale Meteorite, Avventurina and Bizantino are 9.95mm.

How much do Venezianico watches cost?

At King Jewelers, Venezianico watches range from $625 for the Redentore Ultrablack 40 to $1,495 for the Nereide Aureo, Damasco, Tigris and Malachite. The Redentore runs $625 to $850, the Arsenale $885 to $1,400 and the Nereide $750 to $1,495.

What warranty comes with a Venezianico watch?

Venezianico covers its watches for two years from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects under normal use, valid internationally through the brand and authorized retailers. Normal wear and cosmetic damage are excluded, and coverage transfers to a new owner for the remaining period with proof of purchase.

Does King Jewelers offer authentic, warrantied Venezianico watches?
