The 1776 Atelier Liberty 250 is powered by the hand-wound calibre L250, with 19 jewels, an 18,000 vph beat rate, a free-sprung balance and a 48-hour power reserve. The 41mm case is solid tantalum, a deep blue-gray metal denser than 18-karat rose gold and notoriously difficult to machine, manufactured entirely in 1776 Atelier's own workshop in the United States; it measures 10.2mm thick with a 49.5mm lug-to-lug. The two-piece layered dial is finished in black rhodium with hand-applied satine circulaire on the upper surfaces and frosted recesses, and the hands are thermally colored plum steel. 1776 Atelier counts 222 hand-finished internal angles across the movement and dial. A domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal covers the dial and a flat sapphire case back shows the movement. The watch is fitted on a charcoal alligator strap with plum stitching and a matching pin buckle, and a black shark strap with plum stitching is also available. Water resistant to 50 meters. Individually numbered, and created to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States.
