The AWAKE Son Mai Frosted Leaf Royal Blue is a limited edition of 200 pieces, with a handmade Vietnamese Son Mai lacquer dial gilded in pure gold leaf. Each dial takes about 15 hours of handwork: layers of Son Mai lacquer, natural blue pigment and gold leaf are built up, sealed and sanded by hand, then repeated in lighter blues for a frosted finish. The hands and indexes are lit with Super-LumiNova BGW9. The 38mm 316L stainless steel case measures 44.75mm lug to lug and 11.5mm thick, with a screw-down crown, a domed sapphire crystal and a sapphire caseback showing the Swiss La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement, which runs at 28,800 vph with a 68-hour power reserve. It is fitted with a blue Alcantara strap by Jean Rousseau with a rubberized calfskin lining, quick-release spring bars and AWAKE's Fitwell M1 micro-adjustable pin buckle.
