This Montblanc Writers Edition Jane Austen limited edition ballpoint pen pays tribute to one of English literature’s most celebrated authors. Inspired by the Regency era, the elegant sandstone-grey resin barrel features fluting reminiscent of a classical column, complemented by Jane Austen’s signature. The grey-blue cap echoes the double-collared coats worn by gentlemen like Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. The ballpoint features gold-coated rings and platinum-plated fittings. The Roman numerals XLIII are engraved on the cap ring referencing the chapter where Elizabeth Bennet first sees Mr. Darcy’s estate. The cap top is adorned with the statement “By a Lady,” taken from the title page of Sense and Sensibility. The pen clip is designed to resemble a braided cord, inspired by the drawstring closure of a Regency-era reticule.
